The Niaz Initiative was founded to provide culturally-informed mental health support. Our work extends into community service, bridging gaps between diverse communities and promoting mental health literacy. We offer education, counselling and outreach in a variety of settings, with care that respects each person’s cultural background and experience.

Women’s Empowerment

Initiatives to strengthen women’s mental health and leadership. Includes support networks, training programmes and awareness campaigns that empower women to prioritise their wellbeing.

Mental Health Education & Media Campaigns

Seminars, workshops and multimedia outreach to improve mental health literacy. We collaborate with media outlets to deliver culturally-relevant content through television, radio and social media.

Global Policy Engagement

Participation in international policy forums and advocacy platforms. This includes contributions to UN forums (such as CSW sessions) and informing national strategies with culturally-informed perspectives on gender and mental health.
